Welcome to the Home1ab Journal

Editor in Chief, Home1ab Journal

After months of scribbling ideas in private notes we finally have a proper place to publish our updates.

The Home1ab Journal is where we document the experiments behind our community lab, from infrastructure picks to editorial decisions. Expect short reads that explain the "why" behind each change so stakeholders can stay aligned without digging through issue trackers.

Why this blog exists

  • Transparency: Every architectural change touches volunteers and partners, so we want an easily searchable log instead of scattered chat threads.
  • Learning: Documenting decisions forces us to articulate assumptions and highlight what still needs to be validated.
  • Momentum: Shipping words regularly keeps the team honest about progress and blockers.

What to expect next

  1. Monthly check-ins that summarize shipped features, pending work, and key metrics.
  2. Deep dives whenever we adopt a new tool, vendor, or workflow.
  3. Playbooks you can reuse if you are running a similar grassroots project.

If there is something specific you would like us to cover, drop a note in the #content channel or open a GitHub discussion. This journal belongs to everyone building Home1ab.
