How We Publish New Content

Publishing a post should be as repeatable as deploying code. Here is the workflow we are using right now so anyone in the team can ship updates confidently.

1. Capture the brief

Every story begins with a short brief in Notion that answers three questions: who is the reader, what is the key takeaway, and what action should they take next. Once the brief is approved in the weekly stand-up, it is ready for drafting.

2. Draft in Markdown

Drafts live in pull requests under blog/. We stick to plain Markdown plus occasional MDX components so reviewers can focus on the substance rather than formatting quirks. Front matter is required for title, description, authors, and tags.

3. Peer review within 24 hours

A second editor checks the narrative, voice, and any referenced data. Technical walkthroughs also get a spot check from an engineer or operator closest to the work. Comments stay inside the PR to keep context discoverable.

4. Ship with context

Once merged, the post is deployed with the next Netlify build. We announce fresh posts in #announcements along with a 2-sentence summary and the next CTA so readers know how to engage.

This pipeline will evolve, but following these four steps ensures each story feels intentional, accurate, and easy to share.
